Omschrijving

Als er één Duits gevechtsvliegtuig in de Tweede Wereldoorlog het vermogen had om geallieerde piloten angst aan te jagen, dan was het zeker de Fw-190. Superieur aan de Spitfire V op alle gebieden behalve zijn draaicirkel, was het niet tot de introductie van de Supermarine Mk.IX in 1942 dat de rollen werden omgedraaid. Ondanks dit, bleef de 190 enige tijd een doorn in het oog van de RAF en verdiende op lange termijn respect, vooral van degenen die ermee vlogen.
