Kavan - Micro Vario

MicroVario is a very sensitive altimeter/variometer that uses components manufactured with the latest MEMS technology to achieve high accuracy while maintaining miniature dimensions. The sensor is able to detect small changes in air pressure and, thanks to this, to indicate the rate of ascent/descent.

FUNCTIONS

Miniature dimensions - the sensor can be connected directly to the telemetry port of the receiver

Power supply from the receiver/telemetry bus (3.5-12 V)

Accurate measurement of absolute/relative altitude and rate of climb/descent

Automatic telemetry detection: Futaba S.BUS2, Graupner HoTT, Multiplex MSB, JETI Duplex EX

Adjustable warning signals for altitude and vario

Setting via the telemetry menu of the transmitter (Graupner HOTT)/via the emulator of the JETIbox (JETI)

Firmware can be updated

Thanks to its miniature dimensions (as a servo plug), MicroVario can be connected directly to the telemetry port of the receiver or to another suitable location in the model. It is compatible with Futaba S.BUS2, Graupner HoTT, Multiplex MSB and JETI Duplex EX telemetry systems. When using Futaba and Multiplex RC sets, information on altitude and rate of descent/climb is displayed on fixed sensor addresses; when using Graupner HoTT sets, an extended menu is available which also allows MicroVario to be set directly on the transmitter, and with JETI RC sets, MicroVario can be set on the transmitter via the emulator from the JETIbox.

After connecting to the JETIBOX, you can display the current measured values (these parameters are also part of the extended menu for RC sets Graupner HoTT and JETI):

Sensitivity of the variometer

Minimum sink rate of the model (to increase the sensitivity of thermal detection, it is possible to automatically read the value of the natural sink rate of the model during gliding).

Air pressure at sea level

Rounding of altitude to whole meters

Warning signals from altitude (only for JETI and HoTT)

Vario warning signals (only for JETI and HoTT)
