Pattex Stabilit Express (80g)

Description

Pattex Stabilit is a two-component, fast-setting adhesive. It sets in 20 minutes and dries completely in one hour. It offers strong adhesion and high tensile and shear strength. It can be used to bond a wide range of materials, including stone, plastic, wood, glass, ceramic, porcelain and metal. It is not suitable for polystyrene and Styropor.

How to use Stabilit glue ?

For effective bonding, first prepare the surfaces to be bonded by degreasing and roughening.

Then choose the right amount of adhesive for the surface to be bonded. The plastic tub supplied with the glue contains cells of different sizes which indicate the number of powder pods to be poured into the cell.

The resin is then added to fill the alveolus, and mixed until a homogeneous paste is obtained.

Note that the glue prepared in this way has a limited shelf life of 10 minutes maximum, depending on ambient temperature. It must therefore be applied quickly to the two parts to be joined, positioned correctly and held under pressure.

Finally, clean up any excess glue with acetone. It is advisable to carry out a preliminary test on samples of the materials to be bonded, to check compatibility and bond strength.

Stabilit Pattex adhesive is touch-dry after 20 minutes, and takes about 1 hour to dry completely (depending on ambient climate).
