Description

Graupner Hawk 18 HoTT receiver with 3-axis gyro and vario (9-channel) S1053

With the Hawk 18, Graupner presents a powerful 9-channel receiver with an integrated 3-axis gyro and a 3-axis acceleration sensor that is particularly insensitive to vibration, diversity antennas, vario and attitude mode for fixed-wing models or rescue mode and attitude mode for helicopters.

With the GRAUPNER HoTT 2.4GHz technology, the receiver has a safe hopping telemetry transmission high-frequency part with high-quality components and the latest software. The receiver transmits the parameters "receiver voltage", "receiver temperature", "signal strength", "altitude", "altitude difference (Vario)" to the transmitter without additional sensors. It is also possible to transmit the Euler angles to the transmitter and display them there.

The antenna amplifier, together with the antenna diversity, ensures an enormous range. The faster 32-bit L4 processor is a guarantee for energy-saving work and the higher performance ensures that the Hawk 18 can also be used as a flybarless system for helicopters and as a flight controller for copters. Of course, the integrated Hawk gyro system can also be used perfectly for fixed-wing models. There are 4 different gyro modes: OFF, normal stabilization, heading lock, rate of turn mode and attitude mode. With the correct setting, the rotation rate mode enables knife flight and torques to be carried out without control corrections. Extremely quick, easy and convenient to set using the Hott transmitter telemetry menu.

Just like its namesake, the falcon, the Hawk 18 embodies determination, power and precision. Go hunting for the perfect flight with the Hawk.

Features

  • Stabilization of the flight model in difficult wind conditions for up to 3 axes
  • Natural flight behavior through proportional gyro suppression
  • Due to the 3-axis gyro, even difficult-to-control aerobatic models can be flown very gently and aerobatic flying is extremely simplified
  • Maneuvers can be flown much cleaner
  • 4 different gyro modes: OFF, normal stabilization, heading lock, rotation rate mode for particularly easy knife flight and simple torque, and attitude mode
  • Easy setup of gyro assignment
  • Parameter setting via HoTT telemetry
  • Software with attitude mode enables easy landings even in difficult wind conditions
  • 5 free mixers
  • SUMD output for connection to flybarless systems, flight controllers or to a power box.
  • SUMDIN input for redundant receiver operation.

Flybarless system for helicopters:

  • Helicopter rescue mode and attitude mode
  • Basic setting carried out in a few minutes via HoTT telemetry
  • Fast and innovative axis assignment, resulting in flexible installation direction
  • Extremely space-saving thanks to its size, weight and the absence of cables, making it easy to store
  • The latest generation of 3-axis sensors that are particularly insensitive to vibration
  • Swashplate pirouette optimization and tail torque balance direction are automatically detected
  • All common heli swashplates 90/120/135/140 degrees and 90 degrees 4 servos
  • Adjustable swashplate rotation up to 90 degrees for multi-blade heads
  • Clear standard and, if required, selectable expert menu
  • Sensitivity parameters during flight on speed and style can also be adjusted depending on the flight phase via encoders
  • Super fast by eliminating the transmission time from the receiver to the flybarless system
  • Very direct steering feel

Flybarless for helicopters :

  • Simple programming of the basic settings via the telemetry.
  • The pirouette optimization is automatically determined from the parameters and works extremely well.
  • Extreme flight stability with full 3D suitability even with the basic settings.
  • Effect for tail and swashplate easily adjustable via the telemetry menu or via selectable controls.
  • Further optimization options in expert mode for personal flight style and personal concerns.
  • Extremely simple setting of the basic settings via the telemetry:
  • Direction of rotor rotation
  • Swashplate type
  • Swashplate frequency 50...200 Hz
  • Swashplate direction
  • Swashplate servo centers servo 1...3 (4)
  • Swashplate cycl. Set path to 8°
  • Swashplate pitch travel A/B
  • Swashplate limit
  • Swashplate rotation
  • Tail servo center pulse 760µs, 960µs, 1.5 ms
  • Tail servo frequency 50...333 Hz
  • Tail servo center position
  • Rescue Pitch
  • Expo yes/no
  • Logging for service purposes or for the Euler angle display
  • Expert mode yes/no
