Robbe Milan 1940mm motor glider - building KIT

Milan is an elegant electric glider in the 2m class, which responds excellently to thermals. Already during the construction you will have fun, because all wooden parts are laser-cut to fit exactly. The well thought-out construction, in which the wing is equipped with a comb spar, leads to a quick assembly. The balsa planking on both sides of the wings from the leading edge to the main spar results in a light and torsionally stiff D-Box. The wing is constructed in 3 parts with centre section and attachment surfaces. The tail unit can be dismantled to create a handy packing size for transport.

The fuselage is built in the classic stable wooden construction, whereby the curved side panels provide an elegant appearance. The cross tail unit is screwed to the fuselage and can be removed if desired. The Milan is not only an electric glider suitable for everyday use, but the ideal companion for holidays.

The Milan is equipped with a light BL motor, which drives an 11 x 8" folding propeller. The 3s Lipo battery with 2200 mA is inserted into the fuselage via a removable fuselage cover. It has enough displacement to adjust the centre of gravity exactly without trim weight. With approx. 995g take-off weight a safe hand launch is possible. After 15 - 20 sec. engine running time you have already reached a flight altitude of approx. 150 m. Even small thermal beards can be easily flown with the Milan. In addition to the ailerons in the outer wings, the wing centre section has flaps which can be extended up to 90°. This allows safe landings on small landing fields despite the excellent gliding characteristics.
