The Central Box 400 is a robust battery management system designed to handle demanding RC model applications. It integrates a heavy-duty battery switch with voltage reduction, provides 24 programmable servo sockets (each protected against short circuits), and includes 4 telemetry connections. This setup ensures a high level of control and safety for sophisticated RC models.
Configuration and Compatibility
- Number of Output Channels: 24, with a 5V voltage pulse level.
- Satellite Receivers Support: Up to 2, compatible with RSAT2 satellites using serial or PPM sum signals.
- Switching On and Off: Controlled via an encoded magnetic switch, preventing accidental deactivation due to vibration or switch failure. An optional RC switch is available for switching on and off from the Duplex DS/DC transmitter (RC Switch not included).
Voltage Regulation and Telemetry
- Voltage Regulation: Two DC/DC converters with adjustable output voltage ranging from 5V to 8.4V.
- Telemetry Functions: Measures input voltage, current, consumed capacity, temperature, and fuse activation status.
- External Sensors: Supports connection of up to 4 external sensors for enhanced telemetry data.
Safety and Protection
- Overload Protection: Each servo output is protected against overloads.
- Output Voltage of BEC: The BEC output voltage is delivered via MPX connectors with short circuit protection, with each output capable of handling a sustained current of up to 15A.
Advanced Features
- Protocol Support: Supports PPM, EXBUS, and EX protocols.
- Mounting and Build: The Central Box 400 is designed for vibration-resistant mounting and features a full-metal body for better heat dissipation.
- Supports Multiple Central Boxes: Multiple Central Boxes can be connected for expanded control and redundancy.
