The Unimog, originally developed in 1945 and produced by Daimler-Benz since 1950, is an all-wheel-drive "workhorse" renowned for its outstanding ground clearance, courtesy of its portal axles. Predominantly used in agriculture and forestry, it is one of the most prolific vehicles of its kind globally. The Unimog’s off-road capabilities and climbing performance of up to 44 degrees are legendary. It can traverse water depths of 800mm and, with a snorkel, even up to 1200mm, with an axle articulation of 30°. Its popularity and versatility have kept it in production to this day, with widespread use among military forces around the world.
The Amewi edition is an exclusive licensed replica of this iconic vehicle on a 1:12 scale, capturing the essence of the original both visually and technically. This RC model features a cardan drivetrain, 4WD, locked axles, and two switchable speed levels, making it adept on any surface. The portal axles with leaf springs offer additional ground clearance, and the powerful High Torque 260 brushed motor, combined with a multi-reduction and protected gearbox, delivers substantial power. The 17g steering servo with a metal gearbox allows precise control, even on rough terrain. The metal frame ensures durability, and the model includes LED lighting that can be switched via the remote control. The driving functions include forwards, backwards, right, and left.
Available as an RTR (Ready-to-Run) version, the package includes everything required to operate the Unimog, except for standard household batteries for the remote control.
