The Junkers Ju 87-B2 Stuka is a German dive bomber from World War II, notorious for its precision bombing and psychological impact. Designed by Junkers, the Stuka is easily recognizable by its inverted gull wings and fixed landing gear. The B2 variant, introduced in 1939, features a more powerful Jumo 211D engine, improved armor, and larger bomb-carrying capacity compared to earlier models. The aircraft is equipped with dive brakes to ensure accurate bombing, and it often carried a wailing siren, known as the "Jericho Trumpet," which was used to terrify enemy troops during dives. Though highly effective in early Blitzkrieg campaigns, the Ju 87-B2 was vulnerable to faster enemy fighters, limiting its effectiveness later in the war.
