The new MULTIPLEX PACER is an entry-level model airplane based on the Piper PA 20 Pacer. The original is a 4-seater light aircraft that was built in the 1950s in the United States. It had a wingspan of about 9 meters and was built with a steel tube fuselage with fabric covered aluminum wings. The engines were rated between 125-180 horse-power.
Our PACER is made of Elapor® a durable lightweight foam. The assembly is done within a few minutes, without the use of glue. The wing has a foamed-in fiberglass tube as a spar, which provides a lot of strength at a low weight.
The engine mount, landing gear and wing mounts in the fuselage are injection molded from tough plastic and glued in place. The landing gear consists of a white painted aluminum yoke with two large sponge rubber wheels (bushwheels).
Reliable electronic components are also pre-installed in the PACER. These include the four digital servos that are responsible for the control, the powerful brushless motor and the associated 20A controller. The components have been optimally adapted to the model. With the recommended battery, the drive has a long runtime and you thus a lot of flying fun.
The PACER has absolutely uncritical flight characteristics that will not overwhelm even a beginner. It also gives advanced pilots a lot of pleasure, it is the predestined after-work model. Thanks to the robust landing gear and the soft wheels, take-off and landing is possible on almost any surface. It can therefore also be used for training young pilots. Besides the super flight characteristics, it also has a great appearance, especially in the air.
