Phoenix Model
PH205
The P-51 Mustang from Phoenix is a true-to-life warbird with a 2.22m wingspan. The model is constructed in an extremely light and high-strength wooden construction and is designed for electric or gas engines.
The Original
The P-51 Mustang was planned for the need for effective bomber escort. The Mustang used a common, reliable engine and had space for a large amount of fuel inside. With external fuel tanks, it could accompany the bombers all the way to Germany and back again.
For the ultimate, realistic flight experience, the P-51 is equipped with mechanical, spring-loaded metal struts. The P-51 comes with all kinds of details finished for the consumer, including a factory-painted fiberglass canopy, a scale antenna, a scale spinner and much more. For a high-quality exterior finish and realistic appearance.
The Model - Absolutely True to the Original
This model from Phoenix is in no way inferior to its original. Many beautiful details make the P-51 look like the original when viewed on the ground. A scale spinner, rear-view mirror, antennas, weapons and additional tanks complete the "scale" image. And in the air, the model also gives an absolutely "scale" flight image, which is almost indistinguishable from the flight image of the manned model. The cockpit, pilot and instruments in the cabin are also realistically reproduced.
Wooden construction with an extremely high degree of prefabrication
The model is made of extremely light and high-strength balsa/plywood. The laser-cut construction impresses with an extremely high degree of prefabrication, which reduces the construction effort almost to the installation of the drive and electronics. There is plenty of space under the large removable canopy for installing the electronics. The P-51 Mustang is completely covered with foil.
Electric retractable landing gear included
The model comes with an electrically retractable main landing gear and an electrically retractable nose gear. The landing gear legs are made entirely of CNC-milled metal.
Electric or combustion
This model can do both! The construction is prepared for both electric and combustion engine propulsion. The only question is: great sound or absolute efficiency?
