Freewing Avanti S V2 Yellow 80mm EDF Sport Jet – PNP
The Avanti S has earned a reputation around the world as one of the most rewarding EDF sport jets you can fly. It pairs precise, sharp handling with a sleek airframe and a price that keeps fast jet flying within reach.
The Avanti S V2 builds on that foundation with a long list of upgrades, and this version is finished in the bright yellow livery that so many pilots asked Freewing to bring back. It is a nod to the original much-loved colour scheme, now combined with all the V2 improvements.
Officially licensed by SebArt International, the original designer of the Avanti, this Plug-N-Play (PNP) jet comes with motor, ESC and servos already installed, so you can add your own receiver and radio system and get flying quickly.
New 12-Blade Power System
At the heart of the V2 is a new 80mm ducted fan with a 12-blade rotor, driven by a powerful 3658-2150Kv brushless inrunner motor. The result is strong thrust for spirited flying and a sound remarkably close to a real jet turbine.
Power is handled by a 100A ESC with thrust reversing and an EC5 connector. Optimised internal ducting means no cheater hole is needed. Simply add a 6S 4000–6000mAh LiPo battery to complete the power system.
Stronger Landing Gear for Grass and Tarmac
The electric retracts use shock-absorbing trailing link struts and large tyres, making the Avanti S V2 at home on grass fields as well as paved runways.
On the V2, the main gear shock absorber parts are thicker and stronger for better support. The nose gear is shorter, which reduces yaw and limits bounce on touchdown for more stable ground handling. A redesigned nose gear door frame and doors also close more tightly, reducing drag and improving aerodynamics.
Split Flaps & Refined Details
Split flaps help you make short take-offs and slow, controlled landing approaches, a welcome feature on a jet with this much power.
Freewing also refined the airframe in several places. Extra hinges on the horizontal stabiliser strengthen the elevator connection, upgraded control horns improve reliability, and a belly protection strip guards the foam during landings, handling and transport. The CG marker is now placed on the underside of the wings.
LED position lights on the wingtips, dorsal spine and ventral keel add visibility. The magnetic removable nose cone has a plastic cap for extra durability.
Plug-N-Play & Quick Assembly
This PNP version is supplied without a receiver, so you are free to choose your preferred radio system. A receiver with at least 6 channels is required, and a 7th channel is needed to use the thrust reversing function.
The EPO foam airframe is fitted with digital hybrid metal gear servos throughout. The removable wings connect with a quick disconnect plug, which makes transport and storage easy. Assembly takes around one hour.
Please note: the receiver, servos and other onboard electronics are rated for a maximum input voltage of 5.5V. Always power them through the installed ESC and its integrated BEC from the main flight battery. Never use any other power source, as this will damage the electronics.
