Aeronaut

The original Ka 6E glider from Schleicher Werke was built entirely from wood and was the last model to be built in this style until 1970. It was developed as a single-seat high-performance glider and there are still over 400 airworthy examples in use. The Ka 6 is also known as the Rhönsegler.
The kit for our model comes with a GRP fuselage and the wooden kit for the rib surfaces. The large canopy is made of transparent plastic. The flight characteristics of the Ka6E are quite good-natured, although the model was originally optimized for high performance. Tight circling and good climb rates in thermals are highlighted by the characteristics that are particularly well suited for slow flight.
