Phoenix Model
PH158
The Tucano has been THE top seller from Phoenix Model for years. For this reason, the model with a 1.73m wingspan, which has a special place in the hangar of many pilots, has been further developed. Thanks to the low wing loading and excellent flight stability, the Tucano is ideal as a first low-wing model and can be precisely controlled through classic aerobatic maneuvers.
Reinforced construction
The entire balsa construction of the Tucano 60 MK2 has been reinforced in certain places, which means that even more powerful engines are now possible. Depending on the drive and electronics, the model weighs between 4.2 and 4.8 kg and thus remains under the 5 kg mark.
Electric or combustion
The Tucano 60 MK2 can do both! The construction is prepared for both electric drive and drive with glow plugs. The only question is therefore a matter of taste: great sound or would you prefer absolute efficiency?
Extremely high degree of prefabrication
The model is made of extremely light and high-strength, laser-cut balsa wood. The design impresses with its extremely high degree of prefabrication, which means that the construction effort is reduced almost to the installation of the drive and electronics. The model is already completely covered with foil in the style of the Brazilian Air Force.
Spring-loaded retractable landing gear
The Tucano 60 MK2 already has a spring-loaded retractable landing gear installed. In contrast to the previous model, Phoenix Model relies on a mechanical retractable landing gear, which ensures greater safety and less complexity than the pneumatic landing gear of the predecessor.
Numerous scale details
The Tucano 60 MK2 comes with numerous scale details ex works. A particular highlight is the detailed cockpit and the two pre-painted pilot figures. But it is not only on the ground that the model is confusingly similar to its original - in the air too, the Tucano from Phoenix has an impressively true-to-life flight pattern.
