Gyros and flight controllers help your RC model remain stable and easier to control. They detect unwanted movement and automatically make small control adjustments, helping create smoother flights and improved handling.

How they work
A gyro uses sensors to detect rotation around one or more axes:

• 3-axis gyros: Stabilise roll, pitch and yaw.
• 6-axis stabilisers: Combine gyroscope and movement sensors to provide more advanced flight assistance.
• Flight controllers: Combine stabilisation with additional control functions and adjustable flight modes.

You can normally adjust the amount of assistance, allowing the system to provide gentle support or stronger correction. Many units can be switched off during flight, which lets experienced pilots choose between assisted and manual control.
