Axial SCX30 Toyota Tacoma TRD Pro 4X4 RTR Rock Crawler
Few trucks have earned legendary status quite like the Toyota Tacoma. Since its debut in 1995, the Tacoma has become a benchmark for overlanders, off-road enthusiasts, and drivers looking for genuine capability without giving up everyday usability.
Now, that legendary reputation comes to the RC world in miniature.
Meet the Axial SCX30 Toyota Tacoma TRD Pro RTR — the first Toyota Tacoma to join the Axial SCX30 lineup. At 1/30 scale, this compact crawler brings authentic Tacoma styling, impressive trail geometry, and serious crawling performance right into the palm of your hand.
And at Aerobertics, we love RC models that deliver more than just great looks. The SCX30 Tacoma combines a beautifully detailed licensed hard body with a purpose-built crawler chassis, making it equally at home on your desk, around the living room, or out on technical terrain.
Small Scale. Serious Capability.
The SCX30 platform was engineered from the ground up to deliver big-crawler performance in a remarkably compact package.
An angled skid plate helps the chassis slide smoothly over obstacles instead of getting hung up, while ramped axle housings and high-clearance rear links reduce the risk of dragging over rocks and uneven terrain.
The chassis also features a forward weight bias, improving stability and traction when climbing steep or technical surfaces. The Tacoma's longer wheelbase adds another advantage, providing greater composure when negotiating larger obstacles.
It's a true crawler philosophy — simply shrunk down to 1/30 scale.
Two Tacoma Personalities
Axial offers the SCX30 Tacoma in two distinctive configurations, each designed around a different side of the Tacoma lifestyle.
AXI-3289T1 — Rock Crawler Edition
Built for those who prefer a stripped-down, trail-focused look, the T1 features:
This is the Tacoma in its most uncompromising form: compact, aggressive, and ready to climb.
AXI-3289T2 — Overland Edition
For fans of adventure-ready Tacoma builds, the T2 takes a different approach.
Its narrower stance, roof rack with storage containers, and fender flares recreate the unmistakable look of a fully equipped overlanding rig.
The T2 rolls on:
Whether your idea of adventure involves crawling over rocks or heading off the beaten path with a fully loaded rig, there's a SCX30 Tacoma to match.
Authentic Tacoma Detail
The officially licensed Toyota Tacoma TRD Pro ABS hard body gives the SCX30 an impressive level of scale realism, while integrated front and rear LEDs add both character and visibility.
Molded accessories and carefully designed details complete the look, creating a miniature Tacoma that feels much more substantial than its dimensions suggest.
And thanks to the clipless body mounting system, getting access to the chassis and electronics is quick and convenient — no hunting for body clips every time you need to make an adjustment.
Proven Spektrum Electronics
The SCX30 Tacoma arrives Ready-To-Run, complete with a Spektrum SLT2 2.4GHz radio system and integrated electronics.
The low-mounted electronics help keep the center of gravity down, while the included 7.4V 160mAh 2S 30C LiPo battery provides the power needed to enjoy the crawler straight out of the box.
The SLT2 transmitter also features throttle limiting, making the Tacoma particularly approachable for newcomers while still offering plenty of fun for experienced RC enthusiasts.
A brushed Axial 88T 030-size motor delivers smooth, controllable power — exactly what you want when precision matters more than outright speed.
Built for Crawling
Under the body, the SCX30 is packed with features designed to maximize performance:
The result is a small crawler that feels surprisingly capable on technical terrain.
Ready to Run — Straight from the Box
One of the best things about the SCX30 Tacoma is its simplicity.
Everything you need to get driving is included:
Nothing else is required. Charge the battery, switch it on, and start crawling.
