How it works:Extover® granulate is gently applied to the fire, where its expanded glass composition surrounds and suffocates the flames. At extreme temperatures, the glass melts and spreads over burning metals, creating an airtight seal. This crust forms as it cools, effectively extinguishing metal fires and preventing reignition.
Tested and confirmed by MPA Dresden on sodium and magnesium fires, Extover® is suitable for fire classes D and lithium-ion fires, including:

For maximum effectiveness, cover the fire source directly with the granulate. Depending on the object burning, we recommend a covering height of 10 to 30 cm above the fire.
