FMS 1/18 GMC Sierra S RTR Brushless RC Truck – FCX18S Series
Officially licensed by General Motors LLC – Available at Aerobertics
The FMS 1/18 GMC Sierra S is a highly detailed, officially licensed scale RC truck built on the advanced FCX18S chassis. Designed to faithfully recreate the iconic GMC Sierra, this model combines scale realism, premium materials, and modern brushless performance for an immersive driving experience.
Its body features sharply defined lines and authentic GMC styling, highlighted by a signature chrome front grille that captures the bold design language of the full-size Sierra. Every detail has been carefully reproduced, including foldable side mirrors, door handles, windshield wipers, roof-mounted spotlights, and a functional roll cage.
Inside, the model includes a fully molded interior with a detailed dashboard, gear shifter, and textured seating, delivering a true-to-scale realistic cabin experience. The integrated lighting system further enhances realism, offering independently controlled headlights, taillights, turn signals, and roof lights, all operated directly from the transmitter.
Performance & Drivetrain
At the heart of the Sierra S is a powerful 1312 high-torque brushless outrunner motor, paired with an independent brushless ESC and receiver system. This setup ensures smooth throttle response, efficient power delivery, and reliable performance across all terrain types.
A centrally mounted drivetrain integrates a two-speed transmission and transfer case, lowering the center of gravity for improved balance and handling. Power is delivered through universal driveshafts to both front and rear portal axles, significantly increasing ground clearance and off-road capability.
The truck features a full-time 4WD system for maximum traction and stability.
Advanced Suspension & Chassis
Built for durability and precision, the Sierra S features a reinforced all-metal chassis, including metal frame rails, steering linkages, and drive components. This ensures long-term strength and reliability even in demanding off-road conditions.
Additional mechanical highlights include:
Four-link suspension system
Coil springs with metal oil-filled shocks
Metal-gear steering servo
Full ball bearing set (24 pcs)
Portal Axles & Driving Modes
Equipped with new-generation metal-gear portal axles, the Sierra S achieves increased differential ground clearance and improved obstacle clearance on rough terrain.
A straight-axle configuration comes standard, with an optional upgrade to a planetary gear differential. When combined with high-viscosity silicone oil, it can simulate a limited-slip differential (LSD) effect—offering a balance between crawling precision and high-speed stability.
The two-speed transmission system allows seamless switching between:
Low speed for technical crawling
High speed for open terrain driving
Scale Lighting System
The integrated lighting system delivers multiple realistic effects, including:
Headlights
Taillights
Turn signals
Roof-mounted spotlights
All lighting functions are independently controlled via the transmitter (CH4 channel), enhancing immersion and scale realism.
