The OMP Hobby Bighorn 100" is a giant in the world of bush-style RC aircraft, designed for pilots who want unmatched presence, STOL capability, and reliable performance in large-scale flying. With its massive 100-inch wingspan (2540 mm) and flight weight of 6.6–7.0 kg, the Bighorn 100" combines stability, lift, and control, making it perfect for both scenic flights and challenging short-field operations.
Featuring a large 84.95 dm² wing area and a wing loading of 77.69–82.40 g/dm², this aircraft offers exceptional lift and gentle slow-flight characteristics. The integrated functional flaps allow for steep approaches and short, controlled landings, giving pilots full confidence in rough or confined landing areas. With a wing incidence of 1° and motor thrust angles (4° down / 3° right), the aircraft achieves balanced flight and precise handling, even at low speeds.
Powering this beast is a Sunnysky X7025 III 190KV motor paired with an X160A HV SBEC ESC, turning a 22×10” wooden propeller for smooth, powerful thrust. A total of seven SG30 servos provide precise control over the large control surfaces and flaps, ensuring responsive handling and reliability across every maneuver.
The center of gravity is optimally set between 95–120 mm from the wing leading edge, allowing for stable and predictable flight. This aircraft is ideal for pilots seeking large-scale STOL performance, scenic exploration, and commanding presence in the air.
