Ares Indoor – Precision, Durability, and Character in Indoor Flight
Developed in close cooperation with Krill Aircraft, renowned for producing the full-scale Ares in composite (fiberglass) construction, Ares Indoor is the result of a shared passion for precision aerobatic flight. Following a mutual agreement and in collaboration with Jack Jehle, we proudly introduced an indoor EPP version that faithfully captures the distinctive character and flight feel of the original Ares.
At Aerobertics, our goal was clear: to create an indoor model that not only looks like the full-size aircraft, but flies like it.
Lightweight, Strong, and Repair-Friendly
The Ares Indoor is built entirely from 4 mm EPP, combining extremely low weight with exceptional durability. This makes the model perfectly suited for indoor environments, where occasional rough handling or less-than-perfect landings are part of the game.
Compared to traditional Depron models, EPP offers a major advantage:
Higher impact resistance
Excellent flexibility
Fast and easy repairs, often achievable directly at the flying site without replacing parts
Outstanding Flight Characteristics
During development, special emphasis was placed on flight precision, symmetry, and predictability. The model responds evenly on all axes and remains calm, stable, and precise throughout the entire flight envelope — from slow, controlled passes to dynamic aerobatics.
Despite its high maneuverability, the Ares Indoor remains rigid and composed in the air, closely reflecting the flight feel of the large composite Ares. The result is a model that is both enjoyable for recreational pilots and capable enough for advanced flyers, exactly as demonstrated in our flight videos.

Optimized Structure
To achieve the perfect balance between strength and minimal weight, the airframe is reinforced with carefully selected carbon elements:
Carbon rods: 0.8 mm and 1 mm
Carbon strips: 3 × 0.2 mm and 3 × 0.5 mm
This reinforcement ensures excellent rigidity while keeping the overall weight as low as possible.
