The Ares XL is a further evolution of the highly successful Ares Indoor platform, originally developed in collaboration with Krill Aircraft and Jack Jehle. With the XL version, the concept has been pushed even further, resulting in a larger outdoor model featuring a fully airfoiled wing that delivers a completely new flying experience—bringing flight characteristics remarkably close to those of full-scale fighter aircraft.
Specifically designed for outdoor performance, the airfoiled wing significantly enhances overall flight behavior compared to the indoor version. The aircraft feels exceptionally stable, precise, and predictable in all conditions. The optimized wing profile provides greater confidence in turns, improved energy retention during high-speed passes, and an overall more mature, realistic flight signature.
One of the standout achievements during development is its outstanding wind resistance. The Ares XL remains composed and accurate even in conditions where typical EPP models begin to lose stability. In the air, it feels smooth, confident, and highly realistic—behaving much more like a composite-scale fighter than a conventional foam model.
The construction combines low weight with impressive strength and durability. The EPP airframe ensures excellent crash resistance and easy repairability, even after harder landings or minor impacts. At the same time, the model remains agile and dynamic, while maintaining a precise and locked-in flying feel.
The Ares XL is the result of extensive development with one clear goal: to create a durable, precise, and highly capable EPP aircraft that delivers the sensation of flying a large fighter jet in a compact and practical format.
