Boeing C-17A Globemaster III: The long-awaited comeback of the packhorse
This is a real sensation for 1:144 scale modelers: The Boeing C-17A Globemaster III is back! Last released in 2011, this kit is considered to be the only serious ("mainstream") kit from this giant in this scale. Now you finally have another chance to build this impressive piece of modern military aviation. With a length and wingspan of over 35 cm each, this model goes beyond the usual dimensions of your 1:144 collection and impresses with a level of detail that is otherwise only known from larger scales.
Why this kit is a rarity with inner values
- Exclusive return: Take the opportunity to grab this sought-after kit that hasn't been in the regular range for over a decade.
- Deeper insights: A highlight is the detailed interior. You can choose to build the cargo ramp open or closed to showcase the interior.
- Flexible display: Decide for yourself whether you want to depict the complex landing gear extended (standing on the ground) or retracted (in flight).
- Global Force: The included decals allow you to build two international versions: Royal Air Force (Great Britain) or Royal Australian Air Force.
- Crafting fun with demands: With 127 parts and level 4, the model offers a balanced challenge for experienced hobbyists aged 12 and over.
The C-17A thrives on its power. When assembling it, you will notice how massive the hull is designed to transport tanks and helicopters in the original. The fine engravings on the outer skin and the precise replica of the four engines ensure a realistic look. The depiction with the rear ramp open is particularly attractive, revealing a view of the loading space and making the model the perfect centerpiece of an airport diorama.
