Tamiya 14014 – 1/12 Honda RS1000 Endurance Racer (Re-Issue 2025)
Tamiya is proud to present the updated re-issue of the 1/12 Honda RS1000 Endurance Racer, originally released in 2015. This edition comes with a newly-added A4-size double-sided color pamphlet showcasing the full-size bike for painting reference, along with an updated instruction manual in four languages.
The Honda RS1000 is a legendary endurance racing machine. In 1980, Japan entered the endurance racing scene with the Suzuka 8 Hours event. Honda, synonymous with Japanese motorcycle engineering, had already proven itself as an endurance pioneer with its CB750-based RCB bike, which dominated in 1976 with seven wins out of eight races. The CB900F road-going replica evolved from this success, and in 1980, Honda developed the RS1000 to meet new rules after the endurance series attained World Championship status. Its air-cooled DOHC 16-valve inline-four engine, bored out to 999cc, delivered over 130hp. With a front telescopic fork and rear swing arm, and an anti-dive system introduced in 1981, the RS1000 continually evolved, achieving multiple victories including the iconic Suzuka 8 Hours.
