Tamiya 1/12 Yamaha RZV500R – Updated Re-Release (Ref. 14037)
At Aerobertics, we’re excited to welcome back an icon of two-stroke performance. Tamiya presents an updated re-release of the 1/12 Yamaha RZV500R (Ref. 14037), last available in 2011, now enhanced with revised documentation and premium reference materials for modelers who appreciate authenticity and detail.
Originally unveiled at the 1983 Tokyo Motor Show, the Yamaha RZV500R featured specifications remarkably close to Yamaha’s legendary YZR500 Grand Prix racer. Sharing its lightweight, compact design philosophy, the RZV was powered by a 500cc liquid-cooled V4 two-stroke engine, producing 64 horsepower and reaching a top speed of approximately 230 km/h—performance on par with many 1000cc motorcycles of its era. This machine marked a new chapter in high-performance two-stroke sport bikes and showcased Yamaha’s unrivaled expertise in racing and two-stroke engine development.
This updated kit stays true to the original while offering modern refinements for today’s builders.
Key Features:
A must-have kit for classic motorcycle enthusiasts and detail-focused modelers alike—this legendary Yamaha returns in a form that truly deserves its racing heritage, now available at Aerobertics.
