Tamiya proudly brings back one of its most iconic racing machines with the re-release of the 1/10 Nissan R91CP, originally introduced in 1992. Inspired by Nissan's legendary Group C endurance racer, this model faithfully recreates the car that made history by becoming the first Japanese-built car to win the 24 Hours of Daytona, driven by Kazuyoshi Hoshino, Toshio Suzuki, and Masahiro Hasemi.

Faithful Scale Realism
The lightweight polycarbonate body accurately reproduces the R91CP's distinctive low-profile aerodynamic design. The rear wing and headlight housings are molded separately for enhanced realism, while the body comes pre-drilled for straightforward assembly.
Additional black nylon parts faithfully recreate the side mirrors, rear wing supports, air intakes, and windshield wipers. A detailed cockpit with driver figure adds even more scale authenticity, and the kit includes helmet decals representing the three Daytona-winning Japanese drivers.
The model rides on metallic gray five-spoke wheels fitted with high-grip foam tires, just like the original racing machine.

Proven Direct Drive Performance
The Nissan R91CP is built on Tamiya's proven 2WD direct-drive chassis, shared with the highly regarded Mercedes-Benz C11 and Porsche 956 Group C models.
Its composite construction combines an ABS bathtub chassis with FRP front and rear plates for excellent rigidity and responsive handling.
The suspension features:
- Independent front suspension with coil springs and kingpin setup
- Rear 3-point suspension with a 1.5 mm FRP T-bar
- CVA oil-filled rear damper
- Adjustable ride height to suit different track surfaces
