The Toyota Celica GT-Four RC was developed as a homologation car for the World Rally Championship.
In 1992, 5,000 examples were sold worldwide. With its flowing, muscular bodywork, this car used a 2.5-liter turbocharged engine producing 235 horsepower. All-wheel drive used a central viscous coupling and a Torsen differential at the rear for optimum traction and steering control. The Celica GT-Four (ST185) won the Constructors' and Drivers' World Championship titles in 1993, two great firsts for Toyota.
