Gain the Competitive Edge!
Unleash the power of the Phoenix Edge Series ESCs, the next generation in speed controller technology. These ESCs redefine what's possible in the world of RC, providing you with the ultimate advantage over the competition.
Versatile User-Programmable Auxiliary Wire:
Featuring a distinctive white user-programmable auxiliary wire, the Phoenix Edge ESCs offer unrivaled versatility. Take control of your flight with features like mid-flight helicopter governor gain input adjustments, allowing you to optimize performance on the fly. After an unexpected landing, the auxiliary wire can serve as an audible beacon, helping you locate your aircraft with ease. For advanced pilots using 3-axis gyros with RPM sensors, this wire functions as an RPM output, providing precise control over gyro functionality. It can also be utilized as an ESC arming lock or receiver arming lock, adding an extra layer of security to your setup.
Industry-Leading Software and Connectivity:
Unlock the full potential of your ESC with access to Castle's industry-leading software functions. Fine-tune and customize your setup with ease, optimizing your performance for maximum results. The ESCs also support data logging, allowing you to analyze crucial performance data and make informed adjustments. Programming is a breeze with the included Castle Link USB adapter, providing seamless connectivity to your PC. Alternatively, you can utilize the Castle Link App and the B-LINK Bluetooth Adapter for convenient wireless programming.
Unparalleled Versatility:
The Phoenix Edge ESCs are designed to excel in a wide range of applications, from helicopters to fixed-wing aircraft. With their unmatched versatility, you can dominate in any RC discipline and leave the competition in the dust.
Step up your game with the Phoenix Edge Series ESCs and experience the unrivaled technology that sets you apart. Prepare to outperform the competition with unparalleled versatility, control, and performance.
Product Features:
Data Logging:
Available using Castle Link USB adapter and the Castle Link Windows software to read, analyze and store the data recorded on the ESC.
Power System Alerts:
The Edge ESCs are programmed to sound a number of tunes and codes using the motor as well as flashing LED patterns to alert users to certain conditions regarding their power system, such as over temperature, excessive load and locked head speed.
AUX Functionality:
The Edge ESCs offer an AUX LINE, which is the extra white wire connected to the receiver cable. This line may be used for a variety of tasks such as helicopter governor gain input adjustments mid-flight, serve as an audible beacon after an "unexpected landing", act as an RPM output for 3-axis gyros that support RPM sensors, be used as an ESC arming lock or as a receiver arming lock.
Telemetry Capable:
Telemetry has the potential not only to improve the safety of our models by monitoring battery voltages, ESC temperature, and other critical parameters, but it also creates other opportunities to get even more fun out of flying because you’ve essentially reduced the risks of “unknown” inevitable crashes. Think of the benefits to be had from alarms that will sound to warn you when there's interference about or if your receiver battery is running unexpectedly low. Requires purchase of Castle Telemetry Link for S.BUS2 (Item # 010-0152-00) and compatible Futaba Radio or Castle Telemetry Link for X-BUS (Item# 010-0148-00) and a compatible Spektrum Radio.
Protection Features:
• Arm Lock Key: When the Arm Lock Key is in the socket, the controller will be incapable of arming.
• RC Arm Lock: The controller will not arm or run when the auxiliary channel is below 50% after connecting the AUX line to an open
channel on your receiver that is programmed to serve as an arm lock switch.
Programmability:
Fully programmable Castle feature set using Castle Link USB adapter and freely downloadable Castle Link Windows software. (A small subset of the settings available through Castle Link Windows software can be accessed via manual programming through the transmitter stick).
Firmware Upgrade:
Users will receive free access to all firmware updates, including added features sets using the Castle Link USB Programming Kit
Castle Link Compatible:
With the Castle Link USB Programming Kit you can use your Windows™ PC to easily program your controller. Castle Link includes all code for all Castle Link compatible hobby products in one convenient download. Note: Castle Link software requires a Castle Link USB Adapter and a computer that is running Windows. Castle Link is compatible with Windows Vista, Windows 7, Windows 8 and Windows 10. Macintosh users may take advantage of software such as Parallels Desktop, VMware Fusion, or Apple's Boot Camp along with Windows Vista, Windows 7, Windows 8, or Windows 10 to run the Castle Link software, provided the Macintosh has an Intel processor. Macintosh installation is not supported by Castle Creations.
