Originally developed as a small truck in 1945 and manufactured by its former engine supplier Daimler-Benz since 1950, the all-wheel-drive Unimog is an indispensable workhorse with outstanding ground clearance thanks to its portal axles, primarily used in agriculture and forestry. It is one of the most frequently produced vehicles of this type in the world. This model series is still in production today due to its popularity and versatility. Its off-road capability and climbing performance are legendary.
The Amewi edition presents itself as an exclusive licensed replica of this renowned vehicle on a scale of 1:12 and is in no way inferior to the original, both visually and technically. This RC model is equipped with a precise 2.4 GHz remote control with fully proportional driving functions, a cardan drivetrain, metal CVD drive shafts, all-wheel drive (4WD), lockable differentials in the axles, and two shiftable gears, all controlled via the remote control. This makes the vehicle safe to drive on any surface.
The integrated splash water protection and a long driving time of up to 25 minutes guarantee extended driving pleasure. Thanks to the portal axles with reinforced leaf springs, the model has increased ground clearance and offers sufficient power reserves in combination with the two powerful high-torque 260-brush motors, which engage in a multi-reduction and protected gearbox. A 17g steering servo with metal gears ensures precise steering behavior, even in difficult terrain. The metal frame ensures maximum durability. The model is also equipped with LED lighting that can be switched via the transmitter. Thanks to the sensitive crawler electronics with electronic brakes (Mountainbreak), the model can also master uphill and downhill gradients with ease, as it stays exactly where it is as soon as the throttle is released. This allows the model to be maneuvered in a controlled manner on rough terrain.
Available as an RTR version (Ready-to-Run), everything needed to operate the Unimog is already included in the scope of delivery - apart from standard household batteries for the remote control.
